Donate to the Collection

The Museum explores the intersections of Jewish identity and participation in civic life in the nation’s capital from the 1850s to present.

The Museum actively accepts archival material and artifact donations that fit our mission and further our educational goals. We need your help!

We are seeking documents, photographs, and objects related to all aspects of life in greater Washington (the District, Suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia).

  • Home life
  • Work (including businesses, government, any other occupations)
  • Synagogue and Community Activities
  • School
  • Leisure Time
  • Israel Support and Activism
  • Antisemitism in the Region 

Types of materials we collect:

  • Photographs (print, digital, slides, negatives)
  • Documents
  • 3D Objects

Types of Materials we do not collect:

  • Artwork
  • Textiles (clothing, linens, etc.)
  • Copies of original materials
