Meet the architects and explore the public display of creative sukkahs on view in Sukkah City x DC at the National Building Museum’s West Lawn while you learn about Sukkot and participate in an arts workshop, holiday activities, family story time, and a letter-writing campaign in support of eradicating homelessness in our city. Refreshments available for purchase from DC Central Kitchen. Free. Masks suggested. Registration encouraged.

Join PJ Library for a lively, interactive storytime in the sukkahs. We’ll share stories about the holiday, and you’ll get a book for your family to take home, too!

11am and onward
As we activate Sukkah City x DC and reflect on what it means to create a home for ourselves  and others, local artist, Jessica Valoris will engage participants and create a woven painting inspired by the Jewish tradition of the mezuzah.

Support our neighbors in need and donate face masks for SOME. Homemade and store-bought masks are welcome, open packages are accepted.
