Family Events

From monthly drop in storytelling to exhibition and holiday inspired family days, the Museum offers families of all backgrounds creative and meaningful opportunities to learn while having fun—for free.

Ongoing: Story Time at CJM

Playing is learning! Join us the second Thursday of each month for Story Time at CJM, presented in partnership with Bender JCC, Edlavitch DCJCC, Pozez JCC and PJ Library.

Children and their caregivers are invited to join us for stories, songs, and exploratory play as a means of reinforcing early literacy skills. Each month features a different theme and book suited for children of all backgrounds as they learn about themselves and the world around them.

Storytime is most appreciated by kids ages 5 and under.

PJ Library in Greater Washington is made possible by The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. The Capital Jewish Museum is a proud PJ Library Community Partner.

2024 Dates:

Oct 10: Forgiveness and Friendship
