Explore the Museum and the exhibition “I’ll Have What She’s Having”: The Jewish Deli after hours.

Learn DC’s deli history with gallery talks from Ted Merwyn, author of, Pastrami on Rye: An Overstuffed History of the Jewish Deli, Nycci Nellis, Foodie of Foodie and the Beast, and Michaele Weissman, author of, The Rye Bread Marriage. Make your own pickling seasoning, discover fun facts about your favorite deli dishes, enjoy a pickleback shot, and dance along to beats from the golden age of delis! Plus, a cash bar and food for purchase. Drop in for a delectable evening! Tickets include admission to all exhibitions.  

7 pm: Ted Merwin, History of Cured Meats

7:30 pm: Ted Merwin, The Deli as a Gathering Space

8 pm: Michaele Weissman, History of Rye Bread

8:30 pm: Nycci Nellis

Must be 21 or older to attend and present a valid ID at the door.
