CURRENT AND FORMER FEDERAL WORKERS WELCOME

The Lillian and Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum salutes federal workers. Since the federal civil service began in 1871, Jewish Washingtonians have served the United States government in many capacities. Their stories are our stories here at the Museum. Join us in honoring the work of federal employees, past and present.

We invite current and former federal employees to join us for free admission to JewCE: The Jewish Comics Experience through the close of the exhibition on Sunday, March 23.

Plus, see stories of federal workers from the Collection. Check out our second-floor lobby case and discover stories of Jewish workers in the civil service from the 1890s through early 2000s—featuring a recommendation letter by President Benjamin Harrison, photographs of staff at their desks, and more. This is a special initiative to explore and collect the stories of Jewish federal workers in agencies and offices across the government.

Note: No online pre-registration is required. Upon arrival, please visit the Welcome Desk to check in for the special exhibition JewCE. Admission to the ongoing exhibitions is always free.
